LIFE OR DEATH Re: “Euthanasia’s scary reality,” letter, Aug. 20.

Assisted end of life, as I’d like to call it, is a very delicate subject, and it will require our best effort of integrity to handle it all, with the utmost moral and steadfast considerations. I do think that a judge must be included in the decision-making process, without slowing it down. I had a friend who chose this path. He had a set date when he was supposed to leave this world. But it took another 10 days to fulfill his last wish, due to various complications.

By our PM’s remarks about Canadian parliamentarians visiting Taiwan, he has both exposed and confirmed his propensity to support and admire China. He has also confirmed that, while he speaks a vision of peace, tranquillity, saving the planet and unicorns, his personal agenda is one of feigned self-jingoism.The current fiasco of gas sales to EU, and Germany in particular, shows what a short-sighted fool we have for a prime minister.
