'I think the judges and the lawyers should be involved in this as they have made this problem worse with their actions.'
I live above the unwanted city campsite, nicknamed Moccasin Frats, so needless to say I would like to see it located somewhere else. We have more than our share of problems in this area.
I think the judges and the lawyers should be involved in this as they have made this problem worse with their actions, with no consideration for the businesses and the people living in the Bowl. They should be coming up with a solution, other than Prince George has to find housing for people from here, there and everywhere.
Why is it up to the downtown and the surrounding residential areas to have to carry this load? We pay taxes the same as everyone else. What about our safety? Before this is agreed on and I am sure it will be as no one has any idea what to do about the homeless problem, I would like to suggest we make a proper campsite with bathrooms, garbage pickup and with some sort of control over it. The old Experimental Farm is a large chunk of land sitting empty, so why not put the campsite out there? Make a big community kitchen.
If the city’s plan goes through, what is the plan? Provide bathroom, showers, garbage pickup, registration, someone in charge, and security? Who is going to pay for it? Or is it going to be a big free for all at taxpayers’ expense?
