It means I can speak the language my parents taught me without being hit, yelled at or otherwise punished for it.
Orange Shirt Day means I have the right to tell my kids and my grandkids that I love them and that it is okay to love your family. Orange Shirt Day means I am capable of learning the education system if I choose to, not because I am forced to.
