I write to request your intervention on a number of major issues facing the residents of the Cape Breton Regional Municipality in general and Riverside Drive in Cape Breton County in particular. These are issues that have been left unattended for far too long.

I believe the amalgamation agreement was flawed whereby many of our day-to-day services such as road paving and repairs, storm sewer clean-outs and winter snow clearing were left to the behest of a non-caring, non-accountable provincial government.

What might seem like a good idea and a solution for some causes further traffic congestion at the end of our road and will make it nearly impossible for a safe exit. It’s only a matter of time before someone gets killed or seriously injured. Help us get a resolution to this safety issue?
