Letter: 'I would rather use the resources to help heal a real Tiny Tim, not just a fake one on the stage.'
Although their entertainment is of elite value the exorbitant ticket prices are keeping me away. At $49/ticket for a 300 seat theater you are drawing in $14,000+ per performance. Twice a day for one play is almost $30,000. How many goodwills would love that kind of income? Everybody at Hale Theatre should be named Ebenezer Scrooge.
I am sad that ticket prices are keeping me from a great theater experience. Some breakouts such as “Les Miserables” are worth the price, but “A Christmas Carol” had many mistakes, I was distracted by backstage activity through the entire show, it was mediocre and road show quality at best. For that price they should offer headline names as a draw.
Please give patrons more bang for the buck. Make me happy I tossed out almost $50. I would rather use the resources to help heal a real Tiny Tim, not just a fake one on the stage.
