I just finished reading the above article about a group of concerned citizens who have taken it upon themselves to try and clean up garbage in and around the Sydney area.
Surely if the municipality did, it would have made every effort to insure the cleanliness of the area. After all, the event serves as a promotion of the area to the many visitors from the rest of Canada and beyond. Shame on the CBRM. If this does not embarrass any of its leaders than major changes are needed come October.
I know it is the norm to let CBRM look like a garbage barge, but this once why not try and clean it up. And people wonder why there is a rat problem.
