City should hold a referendum on its choice of new location for seat of municipal government, former council candidate says

Editor: I took the opportunity to complete the City of Burnaby survey regarding the proposed relocation of city hall to the Metrotown/Bonsor area. I am still very much opposed to this idea, and think that city hall should remain on the current Deer Lake campus.

While the proposed Metrotown locations would be closer to SkyTrain routes, the current Deer Lake location is far from transit inaccessible. There are a number of bus routes that service the Deer Lake campus from all directions, with three bus routes dropping off just metres from city hall's front doors.
