And the one of an ATV rider driving down the length of an ecologically delicate stream is appalling.

A photo that appeared in Paul Smith's Feb. 18, 2023 column raised the ire of one reader. - ContributedI'm well aware that this sort of thing goes on in our wilderness, despite laws against it, but to have it nonchalantly printed in your paper is stunning. The accompanying article should have been about what NOT to do when you're out in the country on an ATV.
