ICYMI - Leonardo DiCaprio saved a man from drowning. Do you hear that, Rose? via nparts
In a move that would put Titanic’s Rose to shame, Leonardo DiCaprio saved a man from drowning while vacation in St. Barts, reports USA Today.
DiCaprio was with friends when they heard a distress call for a man who had taken a tumble from a nearby Club Med cruise ship. The 45-year-old’s very expensive yacht was the only boat nearby, and so he and all those onboard began a search for the man, who they found and rescued an hour before a rainstorm hit.Consider it a timely rescue, with DiCaprio’s Once Upon a Time In Hollywood co-star Brad Pitt’s Golden Globes acceptance speech last weekend, in which he said of his buddy, “He’s an all-star, he’s a gent. … Still, I would’ve shared the raft.
The jokes, of course, are in reference to Kate Winslet’s Titanic character Rose leaving little room on a door in the water for DiCaprio’s Jack to climb on for safety after the ship sinks, leaving him to die.
