Maple Leafs Legends Row statues outside Scotiabank Arena were briefly vandalized with white paint, captured in a viral TikTok video. While cleaned up, remnants of the paint remain. Toronto Police have no reports on the incident.

A video circulating on social media this week revealed a temporary alteration to the Legends Row statues of Maple Leafs icons outside Scotiabank Arena . The video, posted to TikTok on Wednesday by user shmusepapi34, showed the players adorned with white paint or a similar substance, concentrated around their mouths. Upon further investigation on Thursday morning, remnants of the paint remained on several statues, although a significant portion had been removed.

Legends Row, established between 2013 and 2017, features 14 iconic Leafs players immortalized in bronze sculptures: Wendel Clark, Turk Broda, Charlie Conacher, Syl Apps, Darryl Sittler, Johnny Bower, Mats Sundin, Borje Salming, Teeder Kennedy, Dave Keon, Tim Horton, Frank Mahovlich, Red Kelly, and George Armstrong. A visit to the site on Thursday revealed that while a cleanup effort was underway, traces of the substance remained on the statues. The area, though occasionally closed, is generally accessible to the public through gates 5 and 6 of the arena. It is situated within Maple Leaf Square, adjacent to the large TV screen outside the arena. Toronto Police stated in an email response that there were 'no reports on file' concerning the incident
