Legal Insurrection Foundation (LIF) reports significant success in combating discriminatory practices under the guise of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) in higher education. LIF, through its projects like the blog and the Education Policy Program (EPP), exposes discriminatory scholarships and programs targeting specific racial and ethnic groups. They utilize legal action and public pressure to challenge these practices, forcing institutions to reconsider their policies. LIF also highlights the insidious nature of algorithmic bias embedded in AI systems, perpetuating discrimination even more subtly.

Legal Insurrection Foundation has had a fabulous and impactful 2024, and we are raising funds to further expand our efforts in 2025.

At the Legal Insurrection Foundation, we’ve built a powerful weapon to dismantle “need not apply” discrimination. In less than two years since launch, EPP has challenged over 50 colleges and universities regarding almost 150 separate discriminatory programs. Among our recent cases, we have challenged:42 discriminatory scholarships at the University of Illinois – Urbana Champaign

We brought a federal lawsuit on behalf of Asian parents whose children were treated less favorably than Black and HIspanic children under state-funded science programs – that lawsuit is moving forward after we defeated the state’s motion to dismiss.
