Two local writers will be speaking on different topics next week: how to use AI to inspire your work, and military history

A pair of Sault Ste. Marie writers will be featured in events at the Sault Ste. Marie Museum next week.Sauve will discuss the use of ChatGPT3 and ChatGPT4 to inspire his own fiction and non-fiction work.

The two-hour event will see the history, functionality, and controversy discussed and a demo will see a work of fiction written using ideas filtered through ChatGPT4. Following the discussion and demo, those in attendance will be able to create their own work using the prompts and procedures. Some laptops will be available for the event, but bringing your own will increase efficiency for the event, which begins at 6 p.m..

On July 19, author Daniel Johns will be a part of the Author Talk series as he presents his latest military novel Never A Soldier: A Conscript Serves in the Second World War.Johns will discuss the book as well as reading some excerpts.Admission for both events is by donation.
