Toronto improved to 17-5-6 with a 5-0 win over the L.A Kings

Samsonov got the start and made 29 saves as he improved to 8-2 overall as Toronto recorded back-to-back shutouts. Murray made 44 saves in a 4-0 win over Dallas on Tuesday. Mark Giordano got called for a high stick late in the first but the teams went to their dressing rooms 0-0. Quick turned away all 14 shots he faced over the first 20 minutes.
“I felt good the last couple of days,” Brodie, 32, said. “The mental part of coming back is the hardest. It is hard to replicate that mindset without playing games.”
