“You get out there and you play your game and you have to trust yourself. I know how to play.”
“On his worst day, is a top penalty killer for us, so you want to get him back in. At the same time, you want to be able to let him know that we’re not happy that this game had slipped and you want to give opportunity to someone like Timmins. The reality is that these are our six top defencemen.” Holl has some experience in having his patience tested. During the 2018-19 season, which happened to be Mike Babcock’s last full one as Leafs coach, Holl was scratched for the majority, playing in just 11 games.“I’m not sure it’s ever easier,” Holl said. “But it is something that I know that I’ve clawed my way out of before.
