Lazio has parted ways with its eagle mascot handler, Juan Bernabé, after he shared explicit images and videos online. Bernabé posted the content on his private social media accounts following a surgery for a penile implant, stating it was for non-medical reasons. He further elaborated on his motivations during an interview with the controversial Italian radio show La Zanzara, expressing pride and a sense of increased masculinity associated with his role at Lazio .
The Serie A club, however, deemed Bernabé's actions unacceptable and terminated their relationship with him immediately. \Lazio acknowledged the disappointment fans would feel at the absence of the eagle, a symbol of ancient Rome, from their home games at Stadio Olimpico. They emphasized that they could not continue associating with someone who had, through their own actions, made the continuation of the relationship untenable. \The club's statement condemned Bernabé's behavior as serious and asserted their commitment to providing a respectful and appropriate environment for their fans and players. The decision reflects Lazio's stance against any actions that could bring their club into disrepute
