MOUNT CARMEL-A township police chief says “it really bothers me” that one of his officers has been linked to the pattern of excessive force alleged of members of the Mount Carmel borough force.
Barry H. Dyllar, one of Steckley’s attorneys, said Wednesday he was unaware Carnuccio had been misidentified. Carnuccio is not on the street unless it is an overtime situation because he is a school resource officer and track and field coach at Mount Carmel Area High School, Hollenbush said. Schauer used a stun gun on him three times before he was dragged to an alley next to the police station where the beating continued.
