Launchpad Season 2 consists of six episodes, the same number as the first season. Each episode of the series is a short film made by young filmmakers brimming with offbeat ideas and passion for their art. Short films featured in season 1 are American Eid by Aqsa Altaf, Dinner Is Served by Hao Zheng, Growing Fangs by Ann Marie Pace, The Last of the Chupacabras by Jessica Mendez Siqueiros, Let’s Be Tigers by Stefanie Abel Horowitz, and The Little Prince by Moxie Peng.
The six filmmakers whose short films are featured in season 2 are Gabriela Ortega, Spencer Glover, Erica Eng, Niki Ang, Cashmere Jasmine, and Alexander Bocchieri, respectively. The cast of season 2 includes Jessica Mikayla as Paris, Ivan Fraser as Son on a Picnic , David Moskowitz as Bystander, and more.The official synopsis for the series reads:
“A collection of 6 short films. Six filmmakers from underrepresented backgrounds were selected and provided with the opportunity to share their perspectives and creative visions that will show audiences what it means to be seen.”
