PITTSBURG — A person died in a crash that brought a traffic alert to Highway 4 on Tuesday morning, the California Highway Patrol said.
The crash marked the 15th one on the highway this year, and the fourth one since Nov. 16. Nineteen people have died in those crashes.Few details of Tuesday’s fatality were available immediately, but the CHP confirmed it happened about 11:05 a.m. in the eastbound direction at the Railroad Avenue exit.
The CHP also issued a Sig Alert for severe traffic on the highway. It remained in effect at 12:30 p.m. The crash happened about 11:05 a.m. in the eastbound direction at the Railroad Avenue exit.
