The FBI executed a court-authorized search warrant Monday at the Florida home of Petito's fiancé, Brian Laundrie.
Petito's family addressed his disappearance, saying through a family attorney:"All of Gabby's family want the world to know that Brian is not missing, he is hiding. Gabby is missing."
“We drove by and the gentleman was slapping the girl,” the witness said. “... And then we stopped. They ran up and down the sidewalk, he proceeded to hit her, hopped in the car, and then drove off.” The two told the officer that"they are in love and engaged to be married and desperately didn't wish to see anyone charged with a crime," the report said.
