is a big-bodied cover man in the 2023 NFL Draft. A transfer from Old Dominion, the 6-foot-2, 200-pound Boykin is a long-armed and aggressive cornerback. NFL teams that covet size and physicality in the secondary would love to add Boykin to their defensive backfield.

Lance Boykin: There most definitely was. I stepped into a much bigger role in 2022 and I wanted to be productive. I was named a team captain and I took that role very seriously. I wanted to fill those shoes and produce at the level that was expected of me. I know I met those expectations. I put my best foot forward and played to the best of my abilities.

JM: You have terrific size at 6-foot-2, 200 pounds. How do you use that size to your advantage in coverage? JM: I love your confidence. Now that you’ve had time to think about it, how do you reflect on the decision to transfer from Old Dominion to Coastal Carolina? JM: Have NFL teams discussed the possibility of you playing safety at the next level? I think you’re versatile enough to play multiple roles.
