Some short spells of rain before temperatures rise again next week
Despite a dry start to the weekend, spells of wind and rain are set to cover the north west over the coming days.
Although a mostly wet weekend is to be expected for Lancashire, a brighter start to the week is coming to celebrate the start of August bringing with it some warmer temperatures. Until then rain is to continue throughout Saturday before becoming lighter in the early evening. The maximum temperature on Saturday is 23C.Cloud and rain is expected to clear on Sunday, with some light rain returning on Monday, before it clears up again on Tuesday.This Evening and Tonight: A mainly dry and bright evening with some clear spells at first overnight, then cloud gathering from the west during the early hours with outbreaks of rain arriving, with some heavier bursts over the hills.
Saturday: Cloudy with outbreaks of rain spreading eastwards across most of the region on Saturday morning. Rain continues on and off during the afternoon but becoming disorganised and lighter. Maximum temperature 23C. Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday: Cloud and rain clearing on Sunday, then brighter later. Fine at first on Monday, but more rain arriving from the southwest later. Further rain on Tuesday, and feeling rather warm.
