Cumbernauld and Kilsyth Care in North Lanarkshire runs a baby bank, school uniform bank and community cafes for the area's most vulnerable families. They pleaded for extra help last week.
A charity helping Lanarkshire's poorest families made a desperate appeal for volunteers as 'demand for service is at an all time high'.
A representative said: "We would really love to welcome some new volunteers to our team. There is just so much to do, with demand for our service at an all time high. "If this sounds like it might be for you, and you can commit to helping on a regular basis, even for few weeks, please get in touch."
