The Revuelto is a successor to the Aventador, the last gasoline-only vehicle to be built by the automaker.
Lamborghini’s first plug-in hybrid, the Revuelto, made its Canadian debut this week as the ultraluxury brand looks to electrify its entire product portfolio.
The Revuelto will sport Lamborghini’s signature naturally aspirated 6.5-litre V12 mid-engine with an eight-speed double-clutch transverse gearbox and married to three electric motors. The three electric motors are powered by a lithium ion battery pack that also supports a fully electric drive mode for some 10 km. The Revuelto will achieve a top speed of 350 km/h and go from zero-60 in 2.5 seconds, according to information provided to the press by Automobili Lamborghini.
The Revuelto, said Baldi, is not just a replacement for the Aventador. It is intended to take top-stop in the extreme super-sport car niche market, while giving owners the performance, handling, speed, and styling that is expected from Lamborghini, he said. Lamborghini looks to launch plug-in hybrid versions of all its vehicles by the end of 2024 as well as its first fully electric vehicle by the end of the decade.
