Lakeside store clerk arrested after using golf club to strike man who refused to leave [Breaking]
A Lakeside convenience store clerk was arrested Saturday after he used a golf club to strike a man who refused to leave the parking lot, a sheriff’s official said.
The incident happened about 6 p.m. at a store on Maine Street near Lakeshore Drive, Lt. David Collins said. The clerk had been trying to get a group of men in the store parking lot to leave. When they did not comply, the clerk reportedly hit one of them with a golf club, he said. The victim sustained broken bones, and was taken to a hospital with injuries not considered life threatening, Collins said.Advertisement
