Sami Ahmed, 15, was a 'fantastic young man', the head teacher of his school says in a tribute.
A teenager has died in a fall while climbing in the Lake District.Mountain rescue volunteers were called to Dow Crag, near Coniston, at about 16:20 BST on Saturday to reports that a climber had suffered a head injury.
In a letter to families, the head teacher said: "He was the epitome of everything great about our community and was loved by students and staff. A second person who had become "cragfast" was helped by other climbers and escorted down by the rescue team.Mr Feely added: "In time, we will be working with Sami's family, friends, and teachers to consider how we want to remember Sami and the positive legacy he has left in our school.
