20 rescued from sinking party boat on Lake Conroe

About 20 people were rescued in a panic as their party boat sank in Lake Conroe late Tuesday, according to authorities. Authorities rushed to the Walden Marina area around 9:45 p.m., where they discovered a party boat halfway underwater, according to the Montgomery County Police Reporter. Nearby boaters helped load the sinking boat's occupants onto other vessels. All occupants are believed to be safe, and the Precinct 1 Constable’s Lake Patrol, medics and firefighters are at the scene, reports said.
