Clear Creek's Olivia Shaw will be a big concern for the Lady Mavs defense Wednesday morning. She scored a game-high 22 points with almost all of that total coming after the first period in a win against Elkins.If there was any rust on Pasadena Memorial's roster from the UIL's mandatory five-day dead period, it got scrubbed away in a hurry from the opening day of the annual Memorial Holiday Showdown.
If Memorial gets by Wednesday morning's game, they'll oppose the survivor of the 9:30 a.m. contest between the teams that went 2-0 in Bracket C and Bracket D competition. The championship contest is scheduled for 2 p.m. A loss Wedneasday morning and the Lady Mavs will play a consolation game at 2 on the auxiliary court.
By game's end, Rodriguez and Pineda co-led the team with 15 points, followed by Baba's 14 and Perez's 13.
