Broncos coach Kevin Walters and skipper Pat Carrigan have lamented the team’s poor effort in defence during their shock loss to the Titans.
The Broncos were dazzling at times with ball in hand, but in the second half, couldn’t stop the Titans’ attack, with the visitors scoring three tries in 10 minutes to hit the lead in the 71st minute – a lead they wouldn’t relinquish. “I thought a lot of us lacked energy early, particularyt when they had the ball, we couldn’t get any line speed.”The Broncos had won five of their last six entering the Titans clash, so many expected them to handle the Titans with ease.“Games sort you out. You can bluff your way through training but you can’t bluff your way through a game and we tried to bluff our way through today and we got caught out,” he said.
