La Mesa man, 20, dies after vehicle crashes into telephone pole [Breaking]
A 20-year-old La Mesa man was killed early Sunday after his vehicle crashed into a telephone pole on a La Mesa street, police said.
The accident occurred about 6:30 a.m. when the driver struck a parked car and then careened into the pole on Dallas Street near Amarillo Avenue, according to La Mesa police. Emergency crews rushed the man to the hospital buthe died from his injuries.The road was closed in both directions for several hours, according to authorities. The county Medical Examiner will investigate the cause of death, while police will probe the cause of the collision.
