Homeless at an encampment near Trader Joe’s in Woodland Hills are given notice they must move out under L.A. law 41.18.

The Los Angeles City Council in a 9-to-5 vote approved a resolution on Wednesday, May 10, seeking to expand theto include encampments growing side-by-side in Woodland Hills near Trader Joe’s, a block north of Ventura Boulevard.

Councilman Bob Blumenfield, who represents the area in City Council District 3, introduced the resolution to expand the, to incorporate 5400 Alhama Drive and 5416 Comercio Way. The resolution requires city departments to post formal notices and begin enforcement once the posting period ends. The homeless encampments along Clarendon Street near Alhama Drive in Woodland Hills, CA Wednesday, May 10, 2023. LA Councilmember Bob Blumenfield is trying to get the “no camping” law enforced to clean up the area. A number of crimes have occurred in the area related to the encampments.
