The new 64,000-square-foot, two-story center was approved by Kyle residents in November 2020 through Proposition A.
"We have had a couple different stations over the last couple of years, meaning, our dispatch is located in one location, animal control and traffic and other divisions were in a separate building a couple of blocks from the main headquarters, and then we had obviously the main headquarters this brings us all under one roof," said Kyle Police Department Chief Jeff Barnett."This was almost pushing close to $30-40 million.

"One of the biggest things for us is this building is built from the love and support of our community. They did so several years ago, when citizens across the country were trying to get a good feel for how they feel about law enforcement in the community. Their police departments at a time when others were struggling for that bright path forward our community showed support by passing a bond," said Chief Barnett.
