SYDNEY – The summer may not have started yet but the Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League didn’t waste any time releasing its 2024-25 regular season schedule on Monday.
The teams will also meet in their annual holiday home-and-home series on Dec. 30 and Dec. 31. Cape Breton will host Halifax on Dec. 30 at 7 p.m. while the Mooseheads will welcome the Eagles on Dec. 31 for a New Year’s Eve matinee at 2 p.m. at Scotiabank Centre. Other notable home games for the Sydney-based franchise are Oct. 4 against Rimouski, Nov. 7 against Baie-Comeau, and Jan. 26 against Chicoutimi, all teams the Eagles faced in the 2024 playoffs. As part of the schedule, the Eagles will have two four-game homestands from Sept. 27 to Oct. 6 and Oct. 20-30 .
The other Quebec road swings will see Cape Breton in Victoriaville, Blainville-Boisbriand and Shawinigan on Nov. 15-17, Drummondville, Sherbrooke and Rimouski on Jan. 16-19, and Quebec, Baie-Comeau and Chicoutimi on March 6-9.
