.nyknicks legend and Georgetown head coach Patrick Ewing has tested positive for COVID-19.

According to a statement released by Georgetown, Ewing is under care and isolated at a local D.C. hospital. He is the only member of the Georgetown men’s basketball program to test positive.

“I want to share that I have tested positive for COVID-19. This virus is serious and should not be taken lightly,” Ewing said in a statement. “I want to encourage everyone to stay safe and take care of yourselves and your loved ones. Now more than ever, I want to thank all the healthcare workers and everyone on the front lines. I’ll be fine and we will all get through this.”

Ewing, 57, spent 15 of his 17 seasons with the Knicks, and was elected into the Hall of Fame in 2008. Georgetown hired him as head coach in 2017.
