Liverpool ensured the Premier League title race will go right to the wire as they came from behind to win 2-1 at Southampton.
However, Klopp’s men hit back through Takumi Minamino’s strike in the first half before Joel Matip’s header mid-way through the second half turned the match around. The Reds knew defeat would hand the title to Manchester City and even a draw would mean it effectively end the challenge because of their inferior goal difference.
The Portuguese then teed it up for ex-Saints loanee Minamino, who fired the ball into the roof of the net on 27 minutes.
