Kingston Police are in the forested area next to the Integrated Care Hub after a vehicle was driven into numerous tents there.

Police said later on that the victims of this incident suffered injuries that were considered non-life-threatening at the time. Frontenac Paramedics said Thursday morning that crews transported three people to Kingston General Hospital. Two people had sustained non-life-threatening injuries while a third was in serious condition.

Those who may have witnessed the incident or who may have additional information are asked to contact Sgt. Blair Watt in the criminal investigations division via email atCharette, along with co-executive directors of Addiction and Mental Health of Kingston, Frontenac and Lennox and Addington Carol Ravnaas and Betty Jo Dean, sent out a statement late Wednesday night on behalf of the Integrated Care Hub consortium of partners.

“Our hearts are with those who are injured and with the staff and people we serve who have been witness to this horrific scene,” the statement said. “We thank the community for their support and offers of assistance. We will issue a call-out for assistance when we are clearer of the need. That call-out will be made through the media and the social media channels of Trellis HIV & Community Care and that of our partners.
