The Kings prefer to see themselves down 2-1 in the first-round series instead of having been blasted by a combined score of 14-2 in Games 2 and 3
By the time the weekend is over, the Kings will either be circling the wagons or circling the drain.
“We have to look at it as 2-1, you don’t want to dwell on all of the goals,” Kings center Phillip Danault said. “We didn’t play well at all and we have to work harder and be better, everyone.”“No, I don’t think so. You can’t lose confidence this time of the year,” Kings defenseman Alex Edler said. “We know what kind of team we have, we haven’t shown it the last two games, but we’ve just got to look ahead to the next one.
“Like I said, we’ve just got to look forward to the next game,” he said. “We’ve got to get back to our game, the game that we’ve played many times this year, that we’ve been successful executing. So, that’s all we can do right now.”
