Daimek Darren Joseph Walker, 38, of Upper Sackville, has been sentenced to jail time for breaking and entering a residence and committing the indictable offence of theft.

Walker committed the offence in Kentville on Feb. 14, 2022. Charges of stealing property while using personal violence and two counts of assault were dismissed on March 28.Adam Eugene Bruce, 41, of North Alton, will serve a period of imprisonment in the community after pleading guilty to three charges.

The court imposed a three-year driving prohibition against Bruce and granted a secondary DNA order in relation to the charge of failing to stop his vehicle while being pursued by a peace officer. They include threatening to use a weapon, a knife, in committing an assault; possessing a weapon, a knife, for a purpose dangerous to the public peace at Avon View High School; stealing an individual’s phone; and knowingly uttering a death threat.
