The City of Delta warned residents of Beach Grove and Boundary Bay of a heightened flood risks when the King Tide is expected to hit around 8:40 a.m. on Monday.Article content Coastal areas, especially those adjacent to the Strait of Georgia, Haro Strait and Boundary Bay will see southeast winds gusting to 90 km/h with the King Tides.
A King Tide is a non-scientific term for the highest predicted high tide of the year at a coastal location.
