Kim Cattrall explores 'the next chapter' of her life in return to television via nparts
The actress will star in and produce Fox’s Filthy Rich, which will follow a Southern family who made their money with a Christian television network. After the sudden death of their patriarch, the family schemes to win a slice of his fortune.
Although she appeared in several series since, she didn’t take on another starring role until 2014’s Sensitive Skin. An HBO Canada dark comedy series, Cattrall starred alongside Don McKellar, who also took on directing duties. The series ran for two, critically acclaimed seasons. “I’ve never been on network television,” she added, noting how much the landscape has changed. “Coming back to television has changed so much just since I did Sex and the City. I mean we don’t cut any more, we just keep going. Everything is digital, instead of one or two cameras, we have five cameras. You can’t kind of warm up to a close-up. You have to be right on your game all the time.”
