In a joint statement, Oscar and Emmy winning actor Kevin Costner and spouse Christine Baumgartner announced they had reached 'an amicable agreement' to end their divorce case. Baumgartner sued for divorce in May.

The filing reportedly caught Costner by surprise. Things got ugly when Baumgartner refused to leave Costner’s palatial estate in Carpinteria, near Santa Barbara, no later than 30 days after filing for divorce, as their prenuptial agreement required., Costner, 68, accused Baumgartner, 49, of withdrawing money from his bank account and making charges on one of his credit cards totaling $95,000, “payable to her divorce attorneys and forensic accountant” since April 2023.
