Morning-line favorite Forte, trained by Todd Pletcher, drew the 15th post position, just outside of Angel of Empire, and carries early odds of 3-1.
Tapit Trice, also trained by Pletcher and in post position 3, is the second morning line selection at odds of 5-1. Brad Cox, trainer of Angel of Empire, was pleased with the post position draw in the crowded 20-horse Derby field. “I think is good. I think Flavien knows Angel of Empire pretty well and gave hm a great run last time and I think it should work out well.” trainer Brad Cox said.Post time for Saturday’s Kentucky Derby is 6:57 p.m.
