Moore, Sunday Letters.Normally I like Ted Moore and his letters, but this one merits a rebuttal. To equate the many transgressions of former President Donald Trump with the Hunter Biden issue is rather incredible, a bit like comparing a 2 ton weight with a thimbleful of sand.
I read Moore’s letter regarding the choice between two “criminally corrupt” presidential candidates and am responding to set his mind at ease. While it is certainly true that there is abundant evidence showing former President Donald Trump’s corruption, the same is simply not true of President Joe Biden.Yes, it seems that Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, has engaged in questionable business practices.
So the good news is that if the major party nominees are indeed Trump and Biden, it will be possible to cast a vote against corruption by voting for Biden.Re: “Remember the team we’re on,” by Jerry Lawson, Sunday Letters.I want to nominate Lawson’s letter as letter of the year. His message articulates what I and I’m sure the majority of Texans and Americans feel. Let’s get back together working as a team toward the consensus policies the vast majority of us moderate voters want.
We cannot let it happen here. We all have our differing opinions. These are reflected in a free press. We can agree or disagree. We can speak out and vote for our choice. That’s the way of a democracy. Think about this when someone calls the media your enemy.
