Kash Tarasoff, a 12\u002Dyear\u002Dold diver from Saskatoon, won a Canada Summer Games silver medal for Saskatchewan in male platform on Thursday.

Tarasoff, a 12-year-old diver from Saskatoon, won a Canada Summer Games silver medal in the male platform event on Thursday in Etobicoke, Ont. He was third after the preliminary round.

He previously represented Saskatchewan at the 2019 Western Canada Summer Games in Swift Current, in addition to competing at national diving championships in 2018, 2019, 2021 and 2022. The 2021 nationals were held virtually due to COVID-19. Tarasoff’s performance increased Saskatchewan’s medal count to 15 — eight silver and seven bronze — with three days of competition remaining in the Niagara region of southern Ontario.After finishing with an 0-2 record in its pool, Saskatchewan was scheduled to play consolation-round matches against Yukon and Newfoundland-Labrador .Article contentSaskatchewan was 4-0 before losing to Nova Scotia and Ontario on Thursday.
