Cleveland Browns running back Kareem Hunt has re-signed with the Browns.CLEVELAND, Ohio --Kareem Hunt looked lean and mean in his workout for the Browns on Tuesday, and they liked what they saw.One of the reasons the Browns — who signed Hunt to a one-year deal worth up to $4 million on Wednesday to help replace his good buddy Nick Chubb — let him walk in free agency, is because he wasn’t explosive last season hitting the holes.
The signing of Hunt undoubtedly received the stamp of approval from his best friend Chubb, who never wanted to see him go. Hunt will be good for Chubb and he goes through rehab from the surgery he’ll undergo soon to repair what’s believed to be multiple torn ligaments in his knee. Hunt has also wanted to run through a wall for his hometown team, and is a huge fan favorite. He cried on the sidelines during the national anthem of the Halloween night victory over the Bengals last year, thinking it might be his last game for the Browns. He did ask to be traded last year, seeing that he might not have many opportunities to carry the ball. And he did stage a mini-hold in during training camp before Chubb talked him into getting back out there and working his tail off.
