Kanye West says art 'is not a proxy for any ill or harm' following controversy over his video for Eazy
The video for the clip showed West kidnapping the SNL star with a bag over his head, tying him to the back of an ATV and burying him up to his head. He is later seen picking roses that were growing from Davidson's head and loading them into a truck, alluding to his lavish delivery of a truck of roses to Kardashian's house on Valentine's Day last month.
The rapper posted an image of a church on fire from his recent video for the track Eazy, which garnered controversy after the Claymation clip depicted him committing violent acts against a character resembling Pete Davidson. He was snapped in January in ParisDavidson 'is not threatened by Kanye in any way, shape or form,' a source told ET following the release of the clip
'That #Kanye #Eazy video is disturbing,' one user wrote. 'This is emotional abuse and will end very badly for this family. I felt terrified, can’t imagine how Kim feels. He’s terrorizing her as punishment and I hope people will stop excusing this as art.' The source added that Davidson 'is almost flattered by it all because it is so ridiculous to him' and is 'using this to grow in more ways than one including for himself and his relationship with Kim.'
