ATLANTA — Vice President Harris stressed that she and Donald Trump have vastly different visions for America as she took the stage at a campaign rally in Georgia. Harris, the likely Democratic nominee, spoke to an energized crowd of 10,000 people in Atlanta, in a state that showcased her party’s gains in 2020 and 2021, handing its electoral votes to Joe Biden and sending two Democratic senators to Washington.
“In those roles, I took on perpetrators of all kinds — predators who abused women, fraudsters who ripped off consumers, cheaters who broke the rules for their own gain. So hear me when I say: I know Donald Trump’s type.” She also leaned into a recent campaign characterization of Trump and his running mate as “weird” and called out Trump for refusing to debate her. “So he won’t debate, but he and his running mate sure seem to have a lot to say about me,” she said.
