Charles Melton and Rebel Wilson are set to star in 'K-Pop: Lost In America,' about a South Korean band finding its way from Waco to New York City.
According to IMDb, the plot of the movie centers heavily on the Texas city. “Just days before their American debut at Madison Square Garden, a K-pop group finds themselves mistakenly stranded in Waco, Texas,”Lynda Obst and Miky Lee are on board to produce the film under the banner of South Korean media company CJ ENM. The screenplay was written by Jeff Kaplan and Ian Springer , with a current draft by Karen McCullah and Kirsten Smith , according to Deadline.
Wilson and Melton aren’t the only faces audiences can expect to see on screen. “We plan to cast K-pop stars in addition to icons in the pop industry to appeal to a global audience,” Youn, the director, toldThe two confirmed stars have been keeping themselves busy lately. Wilson starred in and produced the Netflix film, released in May, about a 30-something who returns to high school after awakening from a decades-long coma.
