.kflay continues the 'Solutions Trilogy' with the release of her new music video for Sister
began telling a story without a definitive conclusion. After escaping from an "involuntary lockdown" with a fellow inmate, the video ended, showing the two leaping off a roof and toward their freedom. But what happened after that?
The artist answers that question in her latest music video for "Sister," out today . Picking up where "Bad Vibes" left off in the "Solutions Trilogy," the video shows the two women meeting up on a street and beginning a night out together. But as they move about their town, they realize that everything and everyone around them is moving in reverse, as they continue to push forward. "When you call me up, I'll be at your door/ I wanna be your sister," K.Flay sings.
According to a press release, the shooting process for the video required some extra work from Kristine Flaherty . Since the entirety of the singer's surroundings needed to be happening in reverse, while filming, it was actually Flaherty who had to shoot her scenes backwards. To make the video look right, Flaherty had to learn the song backwards in "phonetic gibberish.", which debuted to critical acclaim on July 12.
