Huck is married to Judge Barbara Lagoa, a federal court of appeals judge on the 11th Circuit—the same court of appeals that will hear any appeal in this case.

Both sides also disagree on how much time the special master should have to complete their review. The DOJ wants it to be done by Oct. 17, but Trump’s lawyers want three months for the review. Delay typically favors the defense in criminal investigations.
