While following paleontologists and wildlife scientists did make sense for the first movie, the trope has become a little tired.
Kayla Watts would be the perfect candidate to breathe fresh air into the franchise. As Jurassic World Dominion explains, Kayla is actually a dinosaur smuggler. The world of dinosaur smuggling is an incredibly exciting corner of the Jurassic Park universe that has not been properly explored yet, and focusing on Kayla Watts in upcoming films could allow these unique stories to be told.
